- The Ruth Ballou Environmental Activism Award is named after a dedicated, life-long resident of Mt. Lake who devoted countless hours to improving the health of the environment and watershed for all to enjoy!
- This award is presented to those who make outstanding contributions that help the association fulfill its mission to promote the conservation, preservation and improvement of the Mountain Lake Watershed and to raise the awareness of all those who experience it.
